My Projects

I love being creative.  Any kind of craft will do.  Here are a few of the things I have done.

I love to quilt and am always picking up fabric

One of my newest crafts has been these growth charts.  I got the idea from the internet and made these up the way I wanted.  I love to make them.

This is the one I made for Makayla

Another of my new projects is these patio paver creations.  I have been painting them for anyone who orders them and have done quite a few.  They are fun and fast.

24th of July Weekend

We always spend the 24th of July in Beaver where they have tons of festivities and we love to spend time with family.  This year the girls spent most of the day playing in the water.

Fishing Fishlake - July 16th, 2011

So my husband has been wanting to go fishing since he bought his new pole almost 2 months ago, and we finally decided to go today.  It seemed we couldn't have picked a worse day!!  The wind was blowing so hard and it was chilly, but we decided even if we drove all the way and then just had to come home it would be fun to be in the mountains.  When we got up there the wind couldn't decide if it was going to blow or not, so we set up in a little secluded area and gave it a try.  The first hour was pretty windy, but after that it died down and the rest of the trip was beautiful.  The girls loved playing in the water and thought it was cool that the wind was blowing the "waves" across their feet (obviously they have never seen the ocean).  Little James was the cutest - he loves being outdoors much to his daddy's delight.
Makayla loves playing on the stage

We found a birds nest in this hole - the girls loved seeing the baby birds

Emma walked across the stream to sit on this rock

4th of July

 Makayla in her dance outfit

Enjoying the parade

Makayla dancing in the parade

We had a great Independance Day -- We watched our darling Makayla dance in the parade, then we enjoyed the park and all the activities -- Makayla got a frog!!  After some relaxation and naps for the kids we had dinner at my parents and enjoyed the fireworks and the traditional fruit pizza :)

Catching Up

To catch up on a few things from this year so far -- hopefully this isn't too long :)

Of course, first of all and the biggest change of all, was the addition of our little boy James Richard a.k.a.    J-man.  He weighed in at 8lbs 4oz and was 21 inches long.  He joined our family on the 10th of April after what seemed like the longest pregnancy coupled with high blood pressure and an induction 2 weeks early.  Of course he was the perfect addition to our family.  The girls absolutely adore him and always want to hold him.

2nd on our list of accomplishments, or hopefully SOON to be an accomplishment is our dining/living room remodel.  My wonderfully talented husband is refinishing the rooms to be a little more modern.  We tore out a closet, built a wall to block the view of the bathroom from the front door, added a shelf for decor, and replaced the windows and front door (thanks to my parents for all their help).  Right now we are ready to texture (which is my job) and then paint (also my job).

We enjoyed a trip to the movies to see Cars 2 and meet Mator -- he was great!!!

Makayla took her second swimming lessons and learned to go all the way under the water!

Of course Emma loves the water too!

Makayla went to preschool last year and learned to spell her name and many other things.  She is so excited to start Kindergarden in the fall.
